Ingredients
1 lb | store-bought or homemade pizza dough |
1 | 14 oz jar of store-bought pizza sauce |
10-12 oz | mozzarella cheese, shredded |
15-20 | slices of good quality salami |
1/4 | of a red onion sliced very thin |
1 | small jalapeño seeded, thinly sliced |
1/2 cup | castelvetrano olives, pre-pitted (from olive bar) |
olive oil, for brushing edges and pizza pan
Everything Bagel Seasoning
1/4 cup | honey |
red pepper flakes |
Method
- Heat oven to 500° F.
- To make the everything bagel seasoning, mix all ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Let pizza dough come to room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling out onto a lightly floured surface with a rolling pin. When your dough is roughly 10 inches in diameter or ½ inch thick, place it on a lightly oiled baking sheet, pizza pan, or pre-heated pizza stone. Spoon pizza sauce onto dough (I like a lightly sauced pizza and my husband likes a heavy sauced pizza...use your own taste to determine the amount of sauce to use) leaving 1 inch of crust exposed around the edges. Cover the sauce with ¾ of the mozzarella cheese. Layer the cheese with the salami, onion, jalapeños, and olives. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Brush edges of pizza with olive oil and sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning.
- Place pizza in the oven for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and the center of the crust is crispy. Remove from oven drizzle with honey and sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Serve with extra honey for dipping the crust into.
